Info
This newest addition to the Schickel discography is brand spanking new.
That's right, spanking. Currently pending for pressing and duplication,
the Ep features five new songs that, despite its length, showcases
everything Schickel is. It contains a wide genre viriety including Pop,
Rock, Acoustic and Alternative Rock sounds. This EP is the first with
recordings of new Schickel drummer House, and overall containing a new
more mature and grungy sound to that of the previous album.
Schickel EP
is due for release later this year.

Info
This debut album features eleven songs, including a few that were
previously on the Mary EP but over time reworked and now re-recorded
for this project. Before production of this album Schickel drummer
Craig Bunting decided to leave the band, which left Joel and Jason to
record and produce the album themselves. Joel took on the drumming
duties as well as guitar and vocals, Jason playing bass and guitar.

Info
This is where Schickel began. Joel decided to write and record some
songs, and most of these he wrote as he recorded. Armed with a single
SM58 vocal microphone Joel, quite questionably, recorded Drums, Bass,
Guitar, Piano and Vocals and created a 7 track EP. For songs such as
'Ink' and 'Almost Closure', Joel improvised and recorded a drum track,
then wrote the rest of the song to fit around that recording.
Questionable song writing, but he had no idea what he was doing. As a result, Mary
has a unique sound. The song 'Have To' can be heard in
full above. |
